We beg you not to approve using the land and parking areas behind our businesses for Housing. Menlo Park Businesses are ALREADY STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE. Other cities, San Carlos, Burlingame, Palo Alto are thriving while Menlo Park is DYING. OUR GRANDFATHER invested in Menlo Park years ago and I grew up in Menlo Park when it was a THRIVING downtown. We all walked downtown and SHOPPED downtown. Springline is housing and restaurants and has taken away business from the downtown. We have so much vacancy. Do you really want DOWNTOWN Menlo Park to be a ghost town??
Thank you for making sure this does not happen. There are other areas to build housing. NOT in a businesses backyard where we already have trouble with parking and attracting our local people.
