Campbell Ave., Menlo Park, CA

Dear Mayor and Council,

I am writing to you this afternoon as a manager of a Class A office building located at 4040 Campbell Ave. in Menlo Park. For the past three years, our property has had to deal with consistent mobile home parking/living up and down Campbell Ave. Its become a safety issue for our tenants and ourselves as the mobile homes create a blind corner as you enter onto the street. Today, I almost hit a car that was parked in the middle of the street when I turned the corner as I could not see it due to all the mobile homes. I could not drive around due to the size of the mobile homes on either side and thus I had to wait or back up my car and go another way. Right in front of our property today, a mobile home has moved or is storing its contents on the street around his mobile home. Our tenants are upset and this is not the imagine they want to show to their clients or their employees for that matter.

Todays office environment is difficult enough and if you are lucky enough to hold onto a tenant or lease space to a tenant, youd like them to feel comfortable coming into the office!! Weve been told over and over again by Menlo Park code enforcement that there is NOTHING we can do except perhaps call every three days as they have a right to park on the street. As someone that works for a building owner who has businesses in the City of Menlo Park, we should not have to deal with this on a daily basis. Im writing to you as a last resort as there is no other means in the City of Menlo Park to get this issue addressed or code changed.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you.
