Dear Council members:
I have lived in Menlo Park for 20 years and recently heard about the proposed idea to "Save the Guild" theater by the non-profit
Peninsula Arts Guild I love this idea as we are a town desperate for a center and a sense of community. Something to create a
vibrant yet not out of line fun and coming to get together to see other people we know.
While I understand it is for films I love that they want to add in a more Comprehensive range of entertainment like music and
musicalperformance. How incredible! This could put Menlo Park in the Thrive Category vs Survive one and it will help our
restaurants and other merchants increase their businesses.
If you could be so kind and make this a priority to review and approve this project at your next council meeting I think you will
find it something you will be glad you did. This is a once in a life time chance for Menlo Park to really come alive and come
together, we lack a little soul and this would be amazing.
I have looked into how the non-profit plans to handle traffic and parking and they assured me they are ready with a plan to meet
the demands without putting any extra tax problems on our town.
This is an incredible opportunity to revitalize Menlo Park, bring life to our town, to create art, music. fun in a safe and
supportive atmosphere. Our other town members with business will only flourish so its a win-win.
Please take the time to review and vote for this to proceed.
Thank you very much,Dani Kelmar
