I just wanted to take a moment to send my support for the proposed vision for the new Guild Theater. Thank you for your consideration of this project, as Menlo Park needs to find it's heartbeat. Music and the arts have long been a part of our history (Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac), yet our downtown is now devoid of activity at night, unlike our neighboring cities to the north and south. This project will send beneficial ripples throughout Santa Cruz Ave businesses.

PS- all the complaints about parking are not endemic to this venue, as it's footprint will barely change traffic from the original theater. Yes, MP has serious general parking problems, but those are infrastructure issues the Council should consider holistically and in perspective of a cityplan.
