Dear Councilmembers
I have been a resident of Menlo Park for 21 years. I am writing for my support of the Save the Guild project. The investor group
is uniquely set up to not be the hungry developer type, but a unique set of individuals who are capable of improving and giving
back to our community. I am tired of seeing Menlo Park languish in the hands of a few families who are more concerned with rents
than what is good for our town. I support local anyway I can - bookstores, pet stores, hardware stores, and I would welcome this
multi use venue. Given most events would take place in the evening hours I don’t think parking would be impacted, and many are
accustomed to taking Uber to concerts anyway. The thought of also supporting local restaurants before a show is very appealing.
The two new sushi restaurants are great and would continue to thrive.
I am in full support and think this is a well founded, well thought endeavor to support the arts.
