We have been homeowners in Menlo Park since 1977. We are astonished that you are considering removing parking lot space in down town to put up apartments. This is the last place you should consider if you care about the citizens who elected you! We drive to town for shopping or dining at least twice a week, and make this our main stop because of the good parking. This decision of yours would suggest either complete ignorance, or graft. Please put this suggestion off the list, and consider the alternative of the large amount of space at civic center, which has single story buildings everywhere which could be changed with no impact on your constituents, and a much better environment for new Menlo Park tenants.
