You may wish to send a Condolence to former Mayor Frank Fahy, whose dear wife that I know well, passed away recently. She and council member Fahy visited Menlo Park, when the Sister City Agreement was signed.

I was extremely saddened this morning to hear that the lovely Gerardine Fahy passed away. Ger, wife of my colleague Cllr Frank Fahy was a gem, always great company and forever had a beautiful smile to greet people.
My deepest sympathies are extended to Frank and their children Aisling, Aaron and Sean as well as Ger's extended family in Bushypark and beyond as well as her wide circle of friends and neighbours in Menlo.
Frank and I have been colleagues since my election in 2014 and many a friendly battle we've had in the ballot box, however Frank and Ger have been good friends of ours long before that with both doing us the honour of attending myself and Karen's wedding.
I am thinking of all those who were so positively affected by meeting Gerardine and having her in their lives. On behalf of the people of Galway I thank her for being there with Frank when he served as Mayor and for in her own way representing this city with esteem and integrity.
A young woman who has left us too soon, may she now Rest in Peace 💔
