RE: Sidewalk on Sharon Rd. btwn La Entrada and Alameda

Dear City Council,

Unfortunately I could not make the meeting last week – I have kids and I am sure you understand.

I heard that the residents who attended represented that virtually all residents on the stretch of Sharon Rd from Alameda to
Altschul do not want a sidewalk since it impinges on parking. This is not the case. Did you consider that the residents who were
there no longer have kids who live at home?

I live on the corner of Sharon Rd and Sharon Court. When my kids were smaller I had a warning sign up IN SHARON COURT because
periodically a driver would take a fast turn into the dead end street. There is a significant risk with kids walking on Sharon Rd.
There will be an accident – it is only a matter of time. I know that I have to extra careful (especially in the morning) when
driving to work because there are kids walking on the street(I typically leave for work around 7:45am.)

As far as parking goes – it will adversely affect me more than most since MORE people will end up parking in Sharon Ct. I am more
than prepared to have that happen in the interest of the public good.

Sincerely,

..Gerald Wluka

Subject: Sidewalk on Sharon Rd. btwn La Entrada and Alameda

Dear City Council,

I’m a Menlo Park home owner at 10 Sharon Ct, on the corner of Sharon Ct and Sharon Road (on the stretch between La Entrada and
Alameda).

This is to ask that you please put in a sidewalk on Sharon Road in our neighborhood for safety. There are many kids who walk by
to/fro from La Entrada, and an increasing number of local people who walk for exercise. With no sidewalk it is not safe. A serious
accident will happen – it is only a matter of time.

Thank you for your consideration,

...Gerald Wluka
