Dear City Council Members,
I really believe that the outdoor dining in Menlo Park is a great asset to Menlo Park and that the ambience of the lively outdoor dining scene adds a lot to Santa Cruz. I strongly recommend that you keep the outdoor dining open and continue the partial street closure on Santa Cruz Avenue.
I do not believe it impacts the shopping experience in Menlo Park. There is limited parking on Santa Cruz as it is and plenty of parking on side streets and parking lots near by.
I expect if the current restaurants on Santa Cruz become busier and more successful that new restaurants, cafes and wine bars would open up in the many empty store fronts.
