Dear City Council,
I understand you are considering whether to open up Santa Cruz Avenue to traffic again. In my opinion, having the extra dining areas, particularly as the weather is getting better, only enhances the Avenue for both eaters and shoppers. And I have not found it to make traffic more difficult. Even before the Pandemic, customers wanted to eat outside when possible…often restaurants would be empty indoors, and there would be a wait time for the outside tables.

It will help these wonderful local restaurants recoup some of the terrible financial losses they have experienced in the last year and enhance our dining experience.
