Daer City Council Members,
It is a well known fact that there has been a long term shortage of housing on the Peninsula. According to the Public Policy Institute of California, over 9 million people have left California over the past 20 years due in large part to the housing shortage. (https://www.ppic.org/blog/whos-leaving-california-and-whos-moving-in/) Mixed with the shortage of teachers in our post Covid world. The simple solution is to be a good neighbor and welcome more affordable housing to help our communities and our students.
