Dear Council Members, As a Belle Haven resident I urge you to turn down Mr. Arrillaga's offer to rebuild the main library and instead focus your time, energy and money in the areas with real day to day needs that are becoming a real crisis. The only library crisis facing our community is in Belle Haven on the Belle Haven Library proposal. The residents of Belle Haven are in dire need of a full functioning library. We are literally trapped in our community due to traffic from every entrance into Belle Haven, wouldn't it be nice to have a real library that we don't have to drive too, without having to be struck in traffic for 20 mins. just to get out of the Belle Haven area? The City funds that would be needed in order to complete the full rebuild as outlined could be used to make a real difference in resident's lives...as a Belle Haven resident I am tired of having most City funds and attention given to the West Side.....I say, enough is enough. Please find it in your hearts to do the right thing, the City doesn't need an updated library, we need to have a full functioning Library for the Belle Haven residents that already have to give up hours of their time stuck in traffic. Thank you, Isis Contreras Menlo Park Resident Received on Mon Aug 21 2017 - 15:51:44 PDT
