To City Council, I am a Menlo Park resident and would like to express my support for the Middle Plaza project at 500 El Camino. I am happy that this site will finally be developed and I think the impact on the city will only be positive. The site has been vacant for many years, and its a critical location as the entry into Menlo Park. The plans from Stanford to add housing and office and community space will really improve the area. I am happy to see the nice, open community space worked into the plans. Stanford is here forever, and I feel they will only build the highest quality product and we will benefit from this addition to the city. The Peninsula and Silicon Valley are at the center of growth and development in this country - we want Menlo Park to offer the highest quality office, housing and community amenities and I feel this project will do that.
