I have just become aware of what a loss to the schools this new development of Stanford will be, and the already existing loss in properties owned in the city. An institution of such wealth should not be impinging on the local cities that provide services for their staff or academics. The figures that have been put forth fall way below the actual costs to the city and as well as the time periods that they are in effect. Now seems the right time to close this loop hole that exists and allow Stanford to do the right thing for education and other services provided-who pays for tree trimming, sewers, roads, fire departments, just to mention a few? An extensive study should be done to deterrine this loss to the city-please act to protect our city?s future. julie harris-217 Mc Kendry drive, menlo park Received on Mon Aug 28 2017 - 10:37:09 PDT
