Dear Mayor Keith and Councilmembers Ohtaki, Mueller, Carlton, and Cline: I am writing to recommend your support for the Middle Plaza Project. This project will build much-needed housing accessible to public transportation, include below-market-rate housing, and add an east-west bicycle and pedestrian connector. Stanford University will also provide benefits to the Menlo Park City School District to enhance its educational program. The site has sat vacant for over 10 years and is a continuing eyesore that detracts from the vibrancy and spirit of our community. The proposed project will be an asset to Menlo Park, and I urge that you approve it.
