Hello City Representatives-
I want to thank you for banning RV Parking on Menlo Park streets.
I have been a Menlo Park resident for over 30 years and appreciate the overall ban for overnight parking. This ban has helped the safety of all residents.
RV parking along El Camino in Palo Alto became a total mess creating an unsafe situation for residents. I saw piles of signs placed on the RVs by Palo Alto authorities trying to get them to move. Finally they succeeded, but at what cost to those of us who pay property taxes and more.
I would like to see decent housing for the homeless and I also dont want to see what happened to San Francisco happen here in Menlo Park or its surrounding towns. In the 1980s I lived in San Francisco and now when I visit I hardly recognize it. Fentanyl and other drug users have created a city of human excrement and filth. Hopefully the new mayor can change this very sad situation.The lack of mental health facilities with oversight by professionals is needed instead of letting them take over our cities and towns.
Bottom line- I wholeheartedly support the ban of RV Parking on Menlo Park streets (as the majority of Menlo Park residents). So stick by your decision and take care of our city.
