Honorable City Council Members, We are also concerned about environmental standards for the Middle Plaza project. Please don't go backwards on environmental and transportation-related issues when working out the details for this project. It is completely in your power, and indeed an ethical obligation, to do the right thing here and shape a development based on green building standards and best practices for reducing carbon emissions. There was a time when we didn't know any better but now we do with respect to the environmental impacts of substantial developments. Given that the impacts of this project will outlast any of us, make a decision that future residents of Menlo Park can look back on and know that you had their backs.
