I recently learned that Turner's Outdoorsman, the proud seller of semi-automatic assault rifles, is planning to open a location in San Carlos. The research is clear that increased access to guns leads to more gun violence. Furthermore, semi-automatic assault rifles are clearly weapons of war and violence - not sports equipment. The mass shootings in Las Vegas, Orlando, San Bernardino and Newtown were completed with assault rifles. In 2017, over 3,000 children and teens have been victims of gun violence. Please protect our children and our community. I urge you to prevent Turner's Outdoorsman from opening a store in San Carlos.
