Mr. Snow, Thank you very much for alerting us of the technical error you discovered in the email address link you referenced for submitting comments on the Stanford 2018 General Use Permit Drat EIR. We’ve gone through and rectified the error on the website and other venues where we have posted the Draft EIR – so now you can use the same link to submit comments. Much apologies for this inconvenience – it looks like this was a technical error that could not have been discovered when we posted the document – however we’ve modified our steps to error in the future. A long explanation of saying we’ve fixed it and I hope you and other members of the public can now submit comments without issues. -Rob Rob Eastwood, AICP Planning Manager, County of Santa Clara (408) 299-5792 rob.eastwood_at_(domainremoved)twood_at_(domainremoved) Please visit our website at www.sccplanning.org http://www.sccplanning.org/ > To look up unincorporated property zoning information: http://sccpropertyinfo.org/ Questions on Plan Check Status?, please e-mail: PLN-PermitCenter_at_(domainremoved) From: Ron Snow [mailto:RonSnow_at_(domainremoved)oofbourrow.me] Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2017 3:02 PM To: Eastwood, Rob Cc: Ron Snow ; transportation_at_(domainremoved) Subject: Urgent: Serious error in the Stanford GUP Reply Address you provide Rob Eastwood and David Rader I was very surprised and disappointed that the response email address you provide for the Stanford GUP is in serious error and I suspect that many responses have not been delivered and are lost due to the problem. The email address you provide at the beginning of Vol 1, the 2nd page of the Stanford GUP — the letter from Rob Eastwood, Planning Manager — has an error. While the email address appears printed as correct, when one clicks on it to send in a comment the provided Link is invalid and the resulting comment is sent to an invalid address. See below: From the 2nd page of Vol1 Stanford GUP: "Your comments regarding the significant environmental effects of this project and the adequacy of the Draft EIR are welcome. Written comments, submitted to the Santa Clara County Planning Division by 5:00 p.m., December 4,2017, will be included in the Final ElR. Please address comments to: David Rader Santa Clara County Planning Office, County Government Center 70 W. Hedding Street, 7th Floor, East Wing, San Jose, CA 95110 david.rader_at_(domainremoved) " NOTE: That the email address above is a link, but that link is to an invalid email address of david.rader_at_(domainremoved) The above is at the Online GUP location of: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/dpd/DocsForms/Documents/SU_Gup2018_DEIR_Vol1.pdf I don’t think there is any way to find out how many emails were sent using this invalid link, as I think all were not delivered and are lost. Could you please provide a general notice to all parties and communities that the email address was wrong and to resend in comments? What will be done to correct the impact of the this problem. Will more time be allowed for those people that sent to the invalid email you provided for response to the GUP? Obviously, all the online copies need to be corrected as soon as possible. Please let me know what will be done to address those comments sent to the invalid email you provided. Regards, Ron Received on Fri Nov 17 2017 - 14:22:42 PST
