I seriously hope that the City Council will not be lured by Arrillaga funds to build a new Menlo Park library. We certainly do not need one! Ours is fabulous. Don’t disrupt our existing city plan because of a billionaire’s priority. Let’s invest in a new Belle Haven library where it’s really needed. While we’re at it, let’s help with schools in Ravenswood. We should be ashamed that our city is complicit with systemic racism! My child travels to the best schools in MPCSD, while her East Menlo Park counterpart, who by the way is likely to be homeless, does not have the same privilege. Shame on all of us.
