Reminds me of the Connect Menlo promise of the “market”. Except in the article, the Cheng’s rely on Costco (12 blocks away) or the Safeway in Mission Bay. Sounds a lot like our local reality here. About ¾ of the way down the article are 5 audio tours narrated by John King, the Chronicle urban design critic. These are well worth listening to.
