Dear Council,
With this topic on the agenda for Tuesday, I’d like to reiterate my support for keeping the 600 block downtown as it is—closed on one side with a bike lane, and one-way on the other.
Pedestrian-friendly spaces have played a key role in revitalizing downtowns across the country. There are those who would prefer to return our shared public spaces to fast-moving car traffic alone, but that’s not how I envision a vibrant downtown.
