Hello Menlo Park City Council Members,
First off, thank you for your service to our community. I am a 12 year
resident in Linfield Oaks and an active participant in the community. Ive
helped fund raise for our school districts, advocated for pro-growth
policies (pro downtown and SRI development, but against the obscene Sunset
Towers). Ive served on our school site councils as well. I would like to
strongly advocate for the quiet zone proposal for the Caltrain crossings
downtown Menlo Park. Other nearby crossings (Palo Alto and Atherton) have
had great success, and not having the constant blaring of horns would be
transformative for downtown. This is particularly relevant as we advocate
for more centralized development downtown near the crossings and more and
more people will be living near them. It would improve the quality of life
for so many today and into the future.
