Hi City Council,
Im traveling for work today but I heard through some neighbors that the
Quiet Zone initiative may be taken off the table tonight. Id show up and
advocate for this if I could.
I know that there are a lot of tradeoffs in spending but this seems like a
really important project… put me down as vote for figuring out how to stop
the blaring horns.
This seem like a legacy railroad policy from the 1800s that needs to be
changed but if thats not possible then making the investments required to
reduce train noise through gate controls or whatever may be needed would
make a ton of sense for the livability of Menlo Park.
