R1 - Removing Single Family Home Zoning

As a 25-year Menlo Park resident I am horrified to hear of the City's plan to study (waste money) on the possibililty of removing our single family zoning rules. The attraction to this city is the lovely single family home neighborhoods -- you all have destroyed the downtown, all that's left is the neighborhoods. Removing these zoning laws will ruin our town and not produce the housing you need. All of El Camino Real and some adjoining streets are full of multiple family homes -- the majority are empty.

When Menlo Park had to move to district Council members I knew it would destroy our town -- and the votes by Taylor, Wolosin and Nash prove such -- there is no interest in the general town, just individual neighborhood focus.

As an active resident, I ask you to stop wasting our tax money on was to destroy the charm of Menlo Park.
