Business parks with idling and noisy delivery trucks

To Menlo Park City Council,

I live next to a business park on the Willow/Middlefield intersection (located at 275 Middlefield Rd, Menlo Park).

I find delivery trucks typically leave their diesel engines idle when delivering items,
to the offices even if it takes 15-45mins. Clearly the drivers don’t have an incentive to switch the engine off.

This not only generates unnecessary noise (for the block of neighbors that are 30-40 feet away) but also lots of air pollution with the large dirty engines. Deliveries often start around 5am which is not conducive for sleep.

Is there any consideration about asking businesses to switch off engines when loading/unloading and possibly shifting deliveries to entrances not facing neighbors. Ironically they have multiple office entrances but have decided to have truck deliveries directly closest to residences in Morgan Ln. This would greatly improve the environment and livability in the city. I have written to the office complex but to no avail and no response.

Appreciate any help!

Thanks
