My vote is do not eliminate single family housing in Menlo Park

I understand you have hired a consultant to study the topic of eliminating single family housing.

I urge you not to waste the City's money on a topic that the majority of the property owners in Menlo Park will not support.

If I wanted to live in a town with dense housing, I would not have moved to Menlo Park in 1980. If I wanted to live in a duplex or a triplex neighborhood, I would not have purchased my single family home on Kenwood Drive in 1994.

The Oak tree is the symbol of our town. Why are we trying to replace trees with multiple homes on a lot?

Change is afoot, with the new property tax laws and also the business trend for working at home when possible. People are leaving the Bay Area and the State. Let's wait to see what the new housing demands are before spending a lot of money on pre-Covid dictates.

The world has changed since the coronavirus hit, and it is still changing. Let's think this thing through.
