Dear Menlo Park City Council,
Hi! My name is Audra, and I am one of the co-leads at Silicon Valley Youth
Climate Action (SVYCA). I am a resident of Menlo Park and have been an
active voice in the community through public comments about environmental
justice and electrification.
In partnership with the League of California Cities - Peninsula Division,
Joint Venture Silicon Valley, and the Santa Clara Valley Open Space
Authority, SVYCA is hosting the Youth Climate IMPACT Summit on August 9,
2025.
The summit features keynote speaker Amanda Hansen, the Deputy Secretary for
Climate Change at the California Natural Resources Agency, and panelists
from Stanford and UCSF public health experts, to local clean energy
providers, conservation experts, and youth climate leaders.
We would be honored to have you join us at the summit, and we know students
from your city would be excited to get to know you, too.
