Dear Menlo Park City Council members, I wanted personally invite you to the upcoming Community Disaster Preparedness Fair in Menlo Park on April 27th from 11 am to 3pm. We are organizing it as a public service to our Community because we feel it is important to make people aware of the great danger to earthquakes, wildfires, and floods—and how to be prepared. The* Red Cross, USGS, PG&E, CERT, ADAPT, Menlo Fire Protection District, and Woodside Protection District *are all involved in the Fair. It will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1105 Valparaiso Avenue, Menlo Park. Interactive demonstrations and classes each hour. Events that day: - Earthquake safety education - Fire engine tours - Drone response team - Hands only CPR training - HAM radio operator instructions with free radios - AED demonstrations - Fire safely training - Sign ups for Free smoke detectors installed by the Red Cross - Flood protection information - Free Giveaways each hour - CERT training signups - Information on 72 hour kits and water storage - Vendors selling preparedness equipment • and much more!
