Burgess pool cut backs
Dear City Council
I see now what your end game was regarding forced closure at Burgess pool
in the interest of so-called pool "equity" with Belle Haven" pool.
You should be ashamed of yourselves for engaging in this falsely created
narrative you have spun.
If you think that reducing pool hours at Burgess while maintaining all day
operations at Belle Haven will create the appearance of a swimming
community in BH I ask you to what end?
Forcing people out of their community pool does not achieve"equity". By
any definition of the word.
Having a larger swim community at Burgess does not disadvantage Belle
Haven.
So we Burgess users have been schooled .
And the Council has shown a disinterest in putting any money towards
subsidizing BH pool.
You continue to put the entire financial burden on Sheeper .
Where is the equity in that?
