Dear Mayor Combs and City Council Members,
I am writing on behalf of the Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula to
respectfully request your consideration of a proclamation recognizing *"Find
the Good Day" on September 18, 2025* in the City of Menlo Park.
This day celebrates the power of kindness, volunteerism, and community
engagement—values deeply aligned with the mission of the Junior League and
our work in the Menlo Park community. Enclosed you will find a formal
request letter detailing our past and ongoing initiatives, along with a draft
proclamation for your review.
As part of our observance, we will be hosting an evening event at The Dutch
Goose from 6–8 PM on September 18 to honor local women who are “finding the
good” in our community. The event will also include a hygiene product drive
benefiting CORA, a nonprofit serving survivors of intimate partner abuse
through safety, support, and advocacy.
We appreciate your time and thoughtful consideration, and we hope you will
join us in recognizing the positive impact community service has on the
people of Menlo Park.
