Dear City Council Member, I understand that Vice Mayor Drew Combs will be introducing an ordinance at the next Council meeting which is intended to insure the safe storage of firearms in Menlo Park City residences. This proposed ordinance is modeled on the one passed last year by the County of San Mateo. I am writing to let you know that as Menlo Park resident I support laws that will keep us and our loved ones safe from gun violence. A secure storage law which closes the loopholes in California state law is one way we can do that. Please consider supporting Vice Mayor Comb's proposed ordinance.
