Dear Menlo Park City Council Members:
I am a Senior Citizen who must use a disability placard.
I do my banking, drugstore, grocery shopping in downtown Menlo Park.
It has been my experience that there is a low number of designated handicap
spaces. However, at this time, there is usually enough spaces to park,
except on Santa Cruz Avenue, where you have let restaurants use parking for
outdoor seating and activities.
I am very concerned that if you allow buildings to replace parking spaces
that people in my situation will no longer be able to use the Menlo Park
businesses because it will be too inconvenient to park.
Please do not take our downtown Menlo Park uparking spaces away. There
must be some other solution to your housing dilemma.
Sincerely,
Jane Curtis-Boven
