Dear Council members, I understand there's a suggestion to use public
parkland for new, low-income housing. This should never be done.
The new construction along El Camino should have such included. If not,
why has Council failed to do so? The plans for that corridor are long
standing. Did the Council never think that putting low-income housing
near transit would best help its residents?
If Council has dropped the ball on planning for low-income housing,
that's no excuse for raiding public parkland.
