Menlo Park City Council,
I have worked downtown for many years. The business I work at for sure will close if you remove the existing parking
to cram more apartments in.
Our customers are also very concerned. Many are elderly, and they always ask about being able to park close.
They have physical limitations as to how much weight they can carry.
Removing/Changing the parking lots would have permanent consequences on the economic vitality upon which my job depends.
We need more, not less close-in parking for the businesses.
I can understand you have an ideology, but executive dictation is not the right way to invoke it.
Make your case, then please let the people of Menlo Park make this decision.
