Mayor Combs and City Council,
I want to strongly share my profound disappointment for the Downtown Parking Plazas Citizens’ Initiative and ask that you vote it down.
Menlo Park’s downtown, quite simply, depends on people. People have been priced out of Menlo Park due to lack of basic common sense thinking and sheer selfish NIMBYism.
If Council adopts the ordinance outright, places it on the November ballot, or calls a special election, it will be bowing to the interests of a select wealthy few who want to keep Menlo Park unchanged and unable to progress into the future. Don’t give in! They may be a vocal minority but there is a louder majority that feels differently. That is why I feel it is so important for me to send you this email.
