I can certainly understand the residents of this county triangle wanting to be part of the city of Menlo Park. It makes sense as one persons comment in the e-mail log pointed out. Waving the fees to be annexed however does not make sense. The city of Menlo Park does not have the funds to wave the fees. Too many fees are waved or reduced, the streetery fees for example. The decision to wave or reduce fees compromises other necessary projects in the city.
