Greetings City Council Members,
I am reaching out to urge the city to approve the fence St. Raymond school, which has been delayed due to the city. I am a scared parent. Schools have become spaces where life threatening danger is a regular occurrence in our nation. It is the norm to have fences and security to at least keep danger out, which is only one part of the defense strategy. Please do not be the thing that holds up our school community from finding peace of mind and increased safety.
As a parent, I watch shooting on the news all the time and it is terrifying. Right now St. Raymond is an open campus on a church property which places it at higher risk than other schools in the area. We have so little control over matters such as these. However, we should assert the wisdom and prevention that we do have at our disposal. Please allow for the continuation of our school fence.
