Hello -
I am writing to express my support for the New Guild proposal. My family and I really enjoy live music, and would very much appreciate the opportunity to see such acts in our own area, alongside our friends and neighbors. As of now, we have to drive to San Francisco or Oakland to do so.
I think this is a chance to bring more vibrancy and a stronger sense of community and pride to downtown Menlo Park. We have such a wonderful town with interesting and talented residents, but don't have the creative outlets to reflect that side of us right now.
On the financial side, it would be great to keep our money here, instead of spending it in other places. A successful venue with thoughtful bookings could attract patrons to restaurants and other businesses in Menlo Park, as well.
