Good morning,
I am disappointed in the towns latest recommendation to pursue a feasibility study. We already know the following:
1) There is high demand for pickleball AND concern about the noise.
2) Nealon Park has been a successful central location for pickleball.
So, why wouldnt that $85,000 go directly to noise dampening efforts at Nealon Park?
Also, the town just made a major structural change that eliminated parking on Middle Avenue next to the Nealon Park playground. Now, dozens of cars park right up against the apartments over by the pickleball courts, adding to the noise. Wouldnt that $85,000 be better spent on creating a noise barrier between that apartment complex and the parking lot?
I would really like to see use of this money go towards the successful pilot at Nealon now, rather than additional courts at non-central locations much later.
Thank you,
Katrina Ryan
