Dear City Council,
My opinion plain and simple, attempting not to repeat arguments already well-expressed by others.
Vote against implementing the current EQC recommendations for replacing gas with electric.
You’ve got your hands full as it is. As a homeowner and downtown building owner, I see a Menlo Park currently in decline. Now is not the time.
This kind of ordinance will not fill downtown storefronts, attract future residents, address the housing element issue, strengthen the police department, alleviate traffic, and more.
Not everything can be a top priority, and this one falls low on a long list.
