Its not broken, so dont "fix" it. Ive lived in Menlo Park for 29 years and have never heard of a single car-bicycle or car-pedestrian accident on Middle. People visiting Nealon Park, the Rosnener Center, and the church need places to park. If you eliminate parking on Middle, those cars will be forced onto the narrower side streets, creating a hazard there. Middle is very wide, so cars can easily pass bicycles. But on the side streets, there isnt room for cars to swing wide around bicycles.
