There will be a study session tomorrow evening. It is unlikely that I'll be able to attend. I would like to state my vote for
including consideration of a tunnel for Caltrain with the freight left on top on a single track. Removing a track would open space
for a city wide Bike Lane North/South.I understand that this might require undergrounding the Menlo Park Station, and would cost
more money than some other solutions. But there would be savings as well. However, as I understand the alternatives, they would
require construction of temporary tracks, years of construction and disruption of our lives and less connectivity of our
community. Noise would also be worse with even a partially elevated train. These factors need to be considered in "costs".
