I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to respectfully request that the staff report and presentation for the June 10 Budget Public Hearing be made accessible via a Zoom meeting at the Belle Haven Community Campus, and that a public announcement be shared with the community in advance.
If a Zoom presentation at the Campus is not feasible, we ask that the City consider providing transportation for Belle Haven residents to attend the hearing at City Hall. Our community deserves the opportunity to fully participate and have our voices heard in this important process.
As the saying goes, “No taxation without representation.” Belle Haven residents contribute to the City just like any other neighborhood, and we believe that equitable access to public meetings is a fundamental part of ensuring our voices are represented in decision-making.
